Kickstart healthy habits or maintain your current ones as we transition from fall into winter here in Calgary. It’s easy to cozy up inside, but we all know how GOOD it is for our minds, bodies and souls to get out of the house + into the outdoors!
WARNING: Participating in this challenge may boost your immune system, improve heart health, strengthen muscles + joints, enhance vitamin D levels, manage weight, reduce stress + anxiety, improve mood, promote better sleep, combat fatigue, increase self-reflection + clarity, reconnect you with nature… should we go on?!
It’s super simple — move your body outside for 30 minutes daily! You can walk, run, hike, bike, you name it! As long as you’re moving, we’re happy! We encourage you to get outside at least 5x/week.
This is a 30-day challenge running from November 1-30, 2024.
Anywhere outdoors! This is a self-led challenge with daily accountability + optional weekly in-person meet-ups. So you can walk around your neighbourhood, explore Calgary parks, bike around the city, hike a mountain trail, or mix it up!
This challenge is open to anyone who lives in or near Calgary — all ages and experience levels are welcome!
If you want to invite someone who does NOT live in or near Calgary, they’re welcome to join + participate too! However they will not be eligible for in-person meet-ups or local business prizes.
Yes — the more, the merrier! You’ll still receive daily accountability + can join our online community for extra motivation. However if you don’t live in or near Calgary, you will not be able to join our in-person meet-ups, and you are not eligible for local business prizes.
Inside the Challenge, you’ll set your own goal and will be entered to win prizes based on your # of movement days. So what does that look like for you? We encourage you to move outside at least 5x/week to create a healthy habit.
There will be 1 grand prize draw for people who complete 28+ days of movement, another draw for those who complete 20+ days of movement, plus lots of mini challenges going on during the month to increase your chances of winning — all while getting outside + moving your body 🙂
You sure can! Feel free to start before November to start creating your healthy habit ahead of time (but these won’t count towards the challenge). You can join anytime after November 1, because we want to help you MOVE outdoors! And you can still win local business prizes.
You bet! You can move your body outside anytime, anywhere. So whether you’re at home, on vacation or a work trip, you can keep logging your movement.
