Answering your most frequently asked Calgary parks questions.

Easy! Apply to work with us here, and we’ll send you all the details.

Great question! Phase 1 was building out Calgary’s green spaces and off-leash parks to make the outdoors more accessible. There are hundreds of Calgary parks to research, discover and explore, so we’ll be continually adding more.

In Phase 2 onwards, we’ll be adding trails, attractions, local businesses, and even out-of-city adventures! If there’s something you’d like to see included on this map, fill out this quick 3-minute form here.

There are 2 different types of off-leash dog parks in Calgary: Off-leash areas located inside on-leash parks, or fully off-leash areas that can be found on their own.

To search fully off-leash areas ONLY, select the “Separate Off-leash Parks” category.

For a combination of fully off-leash parks AND off-leash areas located inside on-leash parks, simply select the “Dogs: All Off-leash Areas + Parks” sub-category under “Park Amenities.”

You betcha! If you have updated info, know a park has more amenities, would like to request something new, or want to submit your photos for possible use on our website, please fill out this quick 3-minute form.

Great question! We created this website because we saw a major gap between what was listed officially online, what was listed on Google, and what we knew to be true in the real world. Therefore, we use the City of Calgary park names whenever possible. If the City hasn’t listed the park on their website, we then list the name found on Google and/or physical park signage.

Excellent question! A hectare is a common metric unit used to measure land that you may see on some of our park map pins. 1 hectare = 2.47 acres = 10,000 square feet = approx. 2 football fields.

Each time you click on a map pin, you’ll see the address listed in the lefthand menu. Click on this address and it will open up maps on your device.

In this category, we’ve included things like ponds, lagoons, wetlands, streams, fountains, waterfalls, etc. Essentially anything that’s not a river, pool or splash park, because they have their own categories.
